Hanoi Halong Bay Da Nang Saigon Siem Reap Vientiane

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)

You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a two night stay in this fascinating city. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour (B, L)

Enjoy a guided city tour of Hanoi, also known as the “Paris of the East”. We will visit the most interesting sites such as Ho Chi Minh's complex: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh house, his house on stilt, One Pillar Pagoda nearby, Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam date back to 11th century, one of the most interesting museums in Hanoi such as Vietnam museum of Ethnology or History museum... A traditional cyclo tour through the narrow, ancient streets of the exotic Old Quarter is a great way to soak up the sights and sounds. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)

08: 00 - 08: 30 Our bus and guide will pick you up at your hotel. On the way to Halong city, enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.
12: 15 Embark on Cruise for welcome drink followed by a cruise briefing and safety instructions. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while our cruiser heads to the bay passing the beautiful limestone seascape.
15: 15 Visiting Sung Sot cave, one of the most amazing caves in Halong Bay. The two chambers that form this amazing grotto are decorated with thousands of spectacular stalactite and stalagmite forms.
16: 25 Enjoy kayaking (weather permitted) with guideline around the fishing village then return to the vessel for free time at your leisure. Fresh fruit platter will be served on the sundeck.
17: 45 cruise through the Bay to its overnight anchorage near Luon Cave.
18: 00 Cooking demonstration and discover the mystic recipes of the Vietnamese cuisine.
19: 00 Seafood set-dinner on board.
21: 00 Enjoy evening activities - Movie Night, Board Games, Fishing or karaoke program. Overnight on cruise.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L) - by flight

A new day has come with beautiful sunrise view from your cabin
07: 30 Have breakfast while complimentary tea & coffee are served.
08: 00 Trip by tender to Ti Top island for swimming or climb up to the top to see the outstanding scenery of the bay.
09: 00 Return to cruise. The vessel cruises leisurely back to harbor
09: 30 Check out and settle the bill.
11: 00 Set menu lunch is served on board.
12: 00 Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi.
16: 00 Arrive in Hanoi.
17: 00 Drive to Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport for a late afternoon flight to Da Nang, which is located on the central coast. You will be greeted on arrival and transferred to the charming town of Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An Ancient Town Discover (B, L)

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Hoi An town to orient yourself with its quaint streets. Take a short boat trip to visit local handicraft villages or experience a cooking class in a beautiful villa on the banks of the river. The afternoon is free to relax on the beach or take advantage of the many tailor shops. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (B) - by flight

From Hoi An take a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the cosmopolitan heart of Vietnam. Soak up the exotic atmosphere of this frenetic city with a guided tour of the main highlights. Relax and Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City - Cao Dai Temple - Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

08: 00 Viet Bamboo Travel's guide will pick you up at the hotel. This morning you take a drive to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh to observe the midday service. Following lunch we will drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels and then return to Ho Chi Minh City at approximately 18: 00. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B, L)

08: 30 Viet Bamboo Travel's driver and guide will pick you up at hotel to drive to My Tho. Take a boat trip around four beautiful Islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix on Tien River. Through Xep cannel to visit Mekong traditional houses at Quoi An village (make all from coconut tree). See coconut collection set and how the locals make handicrafts from coconut trunk and shell. Enjoy seasonal fruits and listening to traditional music. Take the horse-cart on village path and stop at Ben Truc orchard, taste honey with tea or wine. See bees-breeding in wooden boxes at local farms. Take rowing-boat on water palm creek. Lunch on islets (if any). Boat to visit a coconut candy workshop, taste candy (Special products of Bentre province). Back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap (B, L) - by flight

Fly to Siem Reap in Cambodia, your base for the next three days. Spend the afternoon visiting the amazing and awe-inspiring temples of Angkor. There will be plenty of time to tour Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 10: Siem Reap - Angkor Wat (B, L)

In the morning, we will pick you up at hotel view sunrise at Angkor Wat. The elephant will greet you at the South Gate of Angkor Thom city and will transport you to the Bayon temple in a regal style. The same morning visit Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant, short relax at hotel. Afternoon, visit Grand Circuit including Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan, Baksei Chamkrong and South Gate of Angkor Thom. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 11: Siem Reap - Angkor Wat (B, L)

After breakfast, tour to small Circuit including Prasat Ravan, Banteay Dei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say, Tevoda. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit to the World Seventh Wonder of the Magical temple city of Angkor Wat until Sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh (B, L) - by flight

Fly to the capital, Phnom Penh and enjoy an afternoon city tour: visit of the National Museum, a Khmer red pavilion, which is dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. If you would like to see, you will visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and we will enjoy a boat cruise on the Mekong River to see Phnom Penh from the river, and watching the sunset over Phnom Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 13: Phnom Penh - Vientiane (B, L) - by flight

Bid farewell to Cambodia and fly to Vientiane. On arrival at the Vientiane Capital, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 14: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B, L) - by flight

After breakfast, we will pay a visit to the studio of Carol Cassidy, an American who has done much to advance the Lao weaving tradition and then visiting the rest of Vientiane by foot, including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. We pass by the major shopping area continuing to the Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao and Talad Kouadin where various goods are displayed for sale; including fresh food, household goods, souvenirs, textiles, gold, silver and antiques. The rest of the afternoon will be spent visiting the National Museum (close Tuesday), former Revolutionary Museum. We then board a short flight to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best - preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. UNESCO registered Luang Prabang as a WorldCultural HeritageCity in 1995. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel. After a short rest, we will stroll around the Night Market, where you will find a lovely selection of local handmade textiles. We then hike to the top of Mount Phousi for an exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa and the exasperating, beautiful panorama views of the sun setting over this once royal ancient city and the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 15: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves (B, L)

After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour of the city’s oldest temple, Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low representing the classical architecture of Luang Prabang. We then embark on a boat journey upstream along the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. En route, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local specialty of rice wine is produced. On our return, we stop at the local villages of Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan then continue to see the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belonged to the royal family near the Sackarine Caves. Once back in Luang Prabang city we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 16: Luang Prabang - Departure (B)

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the departure flight. End of service!
