“Ba Na Meeting 2006” festival to open in July, Da Nang City

To promote and exploit the ecological tourism potential in Ba Na-Suoi Mo (Mo Stream) and Da Nang City, the People’s Committee of the city has approved the plan of “Ba Na Meeting 2006” festival. The festival will be held on July 14 to 16 at the Ba Na-Suoi Mo tourist zone and in some other adjacent areas. There are many activities in the festival, including concerts, the 5th Open Ba Na Tennis Prize, Kotu gong festival, artistic photos exhibition "Danang-Land and People", traditional games, cuisine booths, etc. The festival is expected to attract a great number of domestic and foreign visitors. According to Da Nang’s authorities, the Ba Na-Mo Stream tourist zone is becoming an ideal destination for tourists. It welcomes 90,000 visitors in 2005 and 6,000 in January 2006.
