The Ba Na Tourism Festival, due to take place for three days and two nights in Ba Na – Suoi Mo Resort in May, will be an important event of Da Nang’s tourism promotion programmes.
The festival aims to attract investors, boost the socio-economic development of the western region of Da Nang City and develop eco-tourism. Main activities of the festival include a festive night of gongs of the Cotu ethnic minority group, finals of the third Ba Na Tennis Competition, mountain climbing performances, eco-tourism tours, an exhibition of Ba Na’s moments.
The festival is also to feature cock fighting, food and drink and folk games. Many art troupes from ethnic minority groups in Da Nang and Quang Nam provinces will join the festival.
Da Nang has coordinated well with travel agents in order to hold a successful festival. Food and drink programme will be carried out by Da Nang Tourism Company, Truong Phuc Ltd and other businesses. Lua Viet travel from Ho Chi Minh City is to be responsible for mountain climbing performances.
