The Haiphong Travel Festival 2006 will be held for six days in the port city of Haiphong, from April 28 to May 3, with a great deal of attractive activities, said organisers.
The festival is expected to include a tourism and trade fair, a tourism exhibition on Haiphong, a beauty contest, a fashion show, a buffalo fighting competition, a tennis competition, a beach volleyball competition, a waterway motor performance, parachute jump on the sea, a cycling tour and a flower garlands and coloured lanterns festival on the sea.
A monument of the Numberless Ferry and the Do Son resort will be inaugurated on May 1.
The tourism and trade fair will take place from April 28 to May 3 with the participation of nearly 100 pavilions from ten provinces and cities. The opening ceremony of the tourism festival will be held on April 30 evening and broadcast live on Haiphong Television.
