The festival, the second of its kind, encourages original works depicting the lives of ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands. Organizers hoped to create a healthy meeting place for ethnic peoples in the region, thus preserving and promoting the folklore of the Central Highlands, as well as strengthening national unity. This festival also attracts many Vietnamese and foreign tourists to come and enjoy the festive atmosphere
