The three day, two nights Ba Na Tourism Festival in Ba Na – Suoi Mo resort will take place in May as an important part of Da Nang’s tourism promotion programme this year.
The festival aims to attract investors, boost the socio-economic development of the western region of Da Nang city, and open up eco-tourism.
The Night of the Gongs will be hosted by the Cotu ethnic minority group, the finals of the third Ba Na Tennis Competition, mountain climbing, eco-tourism, and an exhibition of Ba Na’s moments are pegged as the highlights of the festival.
The festival also features cock fighting, folk games, and a culinary exposition, with many art troupes from ethnic minority groups in Da Nang and Quang Nam province joining in the fun.
Da Nang has co-ordinated tightly with travel agents to ensure a well-attended and successful festival, and will receive a helping hand from the Da Nang Tourism Company and the Truong Phuc Company Ltd, among others in presenting local cuisines for visitors.
Lua Viet travel from Ho Chi Minh City will host a mountain climbing demonstration for the more adventurous tourist.
