A group of Flamenco artists from Spain will take the stage tonight at the Melia Hotel Hanoi.
The performance is ahead their official performance in the ancient town of Hoi An, part of the Quang Nam Heritage Road that runs on March 24 – 27.
The group, formed by a dancer named Rocio Moreno, two guitar players and a singer, should bring a concert of pure, traditional Flamenco mixed with touches of renovation and fresh styles.
After Hanoi, the group will perform four nights in Hoi An and one night in the Tuan Chau Islet in Ha Long Bay, March 29.
The group’s performances are organised to promote Spanish culture in Vietnam by the Spanish Embassy and the Vietnam – Spain Friendship Association.
The group has performed for over ten years and has won a number of awards in Flamenco contests. Tonight marks their first performance in an Asian country.
Ticket proceeds will go to the Vietnam’s Fund for Agent Orange Victims.
