Foreign tourists help clean-up Nha Trang beach city, Nha Trang City

Foreign tourists, local residents and authorities in Khanh Hoa central province joined hands in cleaning up the environment of tourist beach city Nha Trang on Sunday morning. The volunteers picked up garbage at the mouth of Song Cai River, near Nha Trang Bay. The clean-up campaign was in response to a call made by the Francophone Solar Association to help preserve the city’s environment. Members of the local Trade Union and students from the Oceanography Institute, Nguyen Van Troi high school and Aquaculture University as well as officials on the management board of the Nha Trang Bay Maritime Preservation Area all participated in the clean-up campaign. Preserving the environment and natural beauty of Nha Trang have been the major topics of discussion at the seminar “Developing sustainable tourism and protecting the maritime environment” and international conference of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Club, both held in the city these past few days.
