The second Hoi An “summer feeling” tourism month will run from July 8-30, 2005.
The new aspect of this festival is that activities will be held weekly at different places. The first week of fun will be held at Tan Hiep Commune on Cu Lao Cham Island.
Events on the island include yachting, a night festival named Sea – Summer Night, an exhibition of antiques retrieved from sunken ships, folk games and water sports like kayaking and diving.
The second week will take to Hoi An’s ancient streets, the Thuan Tinh tourism site and several handicraft villages.
There, performances will include craftsmen, traditional costumes, floating lanterns on the Hoai River, chess and martial arts contests, rural markets and others.
The last week will be full of sporting competitions at Cua Dai Beach, as well as a Jazz festival, a song writing contest about Hoi An, a sculpture workshop, and other festivals.
