MCI wants a halt to building on Vong Canh Hill , Hue

The Ministry of Culture and Information (MCI) has once again sent a dispatch to the Prime Minister petitioning to stop construction of hotels on Vong Canh Hill, central Thua Thien – Hue Province. The ministry sent its dispatch requesting the halt and suggesting: - positively cancelling the construction of the Life Resort on the Vong Canh Hill and selecting another, more suitable site - developing a scientific record on the areas along the banks of the Huong River in line with UNESCO recommendations (including a project, for submission to the PM and UNESCO, to preserve the landscape) - designing a project to protect and embellish Vong Canh Hill under planning approved by the local People’s Committee with the agreement of the MCI and related bodies.
