The four-star Palm Garden Resort on the Cua Dai beach in the ancient town of Hoi An was inaugurated on March 25.
The resort, built at a total cost of US $10 million within a year, is located on five hectares with 163 separate villas, bars, tennis courts, swimming pools and water sports.
On the same day, a painting exhibition opened at the newly-opened Palm Garden Resort as part of the "Quang Nam - Heritage Road 2005" festival in central Quang Nam province.
The first ever exhibition of Vietnamese contemporary fine arts will run through April 2. On display are nearly 30 paintings by artists from all regions in the country, including Luong Xuan Doan, Dang Ngoc Khue, Nguyen Quan, Doan Minh Tri and Nguyen Xuan Tiep.
