WHO not considering Vietnam bird flu travel warning,

The World Health Organization says it is not considering a Vietnam travel warning because the risk of human infection of bird flu in the country is low, CBS News reported. Vietnamese authorities confirmed that the disease had spread to a total of 18 cities and provinces nationwide in this recent recurrence. WHO spokeswoman Maria Cheng says there is concern that the avian flu appears to have spread. However, she says there is no need for any warning on travel to Vietnam because the disease still poses a low risk to humans. Meanwhile, Vietnam has imposed a temporary ban on the import of poultry and poultry products from neighboring countries in a series of measures to fight the spread of the disease.
