Sapa is an incredibly picturesque village that lies on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range near the Chinese border in NW Vietnam. It is called as "the Tonkinese Alps" You can see many hill tribe people, their villages, rice terraces, lush vegetation, and Fansipan, highest peak in Vietnam...
Arrive in Lao Cai in early morning, transferred to Sapa by bus. Check in hotel, have breakfast, relax and enjoy lunch.
Visit Sapa town in the afternoon, then trek Cat Cat village of H'mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H'mong village. Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A "White curtain "cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weatherβ¦
Dinner at restaurant. Then discover Sapa in night, see ethnic people activities and life in Sapa.
AM: Have a walk to Tavan village, a village of Red DZao and Giay people. Further on along the road, the Old Marble Beach and Cloud Bridge can be seen. Visit the village and reach their customs.
PM: Check out, bring your luggage with you. Have a short time climbing up to Ham Rong mountain with elevator steps. From the mountain, the superb views of all Sapa valley including Sapa town with hills and gothic villas, gardens and paddy fields as well as opposite Hoang Lien Son range with the over 3000 meters high Fan Si Pan. (You can leave your luggage safe on the bus while going sightseeing).
Transfer to Lao Cai in the late afternoon, have dinner in Laocai. Get 21.30PM train for coming back to Hanoi. End of tour.
