Most Vietnamese and Westerners are familiar with the phrase Ha Noi ba muoi sau Pho Phuong or Ha Noi 36 districts. This phrase often causes much confusion for most people since, on the one hand Pho means a street or a place for merchants to gather to do business, on the other hand Phuong means a district or a guild of artisans pecializing in a particular trade (phuong cheo, phuong tho, etc.). In any case, there is some truth to the use of both descriptions. The end of the Vietnam war, and the advent of "Doi moi", Vietnam's policy of opening its economy to foreign trade, means that Westerners and South Vietnamese now have a chance to visit Ha long. Vinh Ha Long or Bay of the Descending Dragon is often touted by proud Vietnamese as the world's Eighth wonder. One of the main attractions of Ha long is the bay's calm water and the thousands of limestone mountains dotting the seascape. The Bay's water is clear during the spring and early summer. Some of the islands are quite large and there are small alcoves with sandy beaches where swimming is possible. Ha Long bay lies in the northeastern part of Vietnam and is 165 Km from Hanoi.

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be picked up from airport to a hotel in Saigon for relax, overnight at proposed hotel after welcomed dinner.

| Day 02: Hanoi city tour (B, L) |
|
Breakfast at hotel.
08.30AM: Start city tour with Ho Chi Minh Complex.
Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum and One pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda. Continue to visit Literature temple, the first University in Vietnam in 16th century. Have lunch in one of famous restaurant in Hanoi.
PM: Visit History museum then have cyclo in the old quarter and visit Dong Xuan market, enjoy water puppet show in the afternoon

| Day 03: Hanoi Halong (B, L, D) |
|
Pick up at your address in Hanoi at 8:30 and drive to Halong.
Arrive at noon. Welcome on boat and check in.
Have lunch
13:00PM: Start 3.5 hours cruising into Halong bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations: Mat Qui (Monsters face) islet, But Moc islet, Cap De islet, Trong (Drum) cave, Trinh Nu cave, to a Floating Fishing village to se this unique way of life...
Explore Luon cave (from 16:40 to 17:30).
There will be lots of time for swimming, sun bathing. Enjoy a great sunset dinner and relax before retiring to the comfort of your cabin.

| Day 04: Halong Hanoi Sapa (B, L, D) |
|
Easy morning with a cup of tea, coffee, fresh fruits. Sitting on the upper deck, we can enjoy the breath-taking beauty of the rocky Islands rising from the crystal-clear waters of the Bay.
Explore Sung Sot (Amazing) cave (8.00 to 9:00), swim and relax at Titop beach. At 09:30, boat start cruising back and buffet will served from 10:30 to 11:30, check out
Arrive at harbor by noon and drive back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 16:00, relax then have dinner before escorted to Hanoi Railway Station for night train to Lao Cai (around 21:00)

| Day 05: Sapa (B, L) |
|
Upon arrival in Lao Cai (at around 06:00), transfer to Sapa by car.
Have breakfast at hotel and relax
Your guide will meet you at hotel for short trek to Catcat village, the village of H'mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H'mong village.
Lunch at restaurant in town
Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A "White curtain "cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvelous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather

| Day 06: Sapa Hanoi (B, L, D) |
|
Breakfast before private car transferred to Lao Chai village, a village of Black Hmong.
Short trek down to river to visit hill tribe house to see their living style and the local woman made their handicraft clothes. Further on along the road, the Tavan village where Dzay people staying can be seen.
Trek back to main road and the car take you back to hotel in Sapa for refresh
Transfer to Lao Cai for night train back to Hanoi after dinner

| Day 07: Hanoi Ninh Binh (B, L) |

Train arrives back to Hanoi early in the morning
Pick up and escort for breakfast at restaurant
Relax then transfer to Ninh Binh, enjoying the rural scenery along the road. Visit Hoa Lu old citadel. In the afternoon, take a rowing boat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes).

Drive to Cuc Phuong National Park, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue center and learn about the work that is being done to preserve the endangered native primates
After lunch in a restaurant at headquarter we explore the lush forest
Drive back to Hanoi later in the afternoon
